Lafarge Canada continues to advance its journey to net zero with the full transformation of its Brookfield cement plant’s production to a greener portfolio.
The Nova Scotia plant will shift to reduced carbon portland-limestone cement (PLC) – branded as OneCem – the company’s eco-efficient alternative. Brookfield is Lafarge’s third cement plant to be converted in 2022, following the Bath, Ontario, plant in June and the Richmond, British Columbia, plant in March. It is the first Atlantic Market plant to transition to PLC.

Across Canada, Lafarge has produced more than 6 million metric tonnes of OneCem since 2011.
